versatile and eclectic flutist, composer, and theatre performer. She has collaborated with international artists and composers such as Samir Calixto, Ria Marks, Romain Bischoff , Sebo Bakker, Gerhard Staebler, and Kunsu Shim. Clara has co-directed and composed for theatre pieces including Plastic, Concerto for Body Parts, and Particles. As co-artistic director of the interdisciplinary Piano Piano Festival for five years, she has worked with classical, jazz, and world musicians from across Europe, including La Repetition Orchestra, Cabuenha Janduinga, Aal Janub di Ahmed Omran, Valter Guerra, Carolina Bubbico, Cristiana Verardo. Her debut album Narcisi e Camomille features her compositions and performances for flute ensemble alongside Kersten McCall, 1st flute of the Concertgebouw Orchestra, baroque singer Viola Blache, and producer Omar Medina.
Her composition for solo flute “Canto alla sabbia” has been performed by 1st flute of Teatro alla Scala in Milan in June 2023 in occasion of Andrea Manco Recital per flauto solo promoted by Associazione Filarmonica di Lecce.
In July 2024, she held a masterclass as a guest instructor for the Fondazione Accademia di Imola, working with students from the advanced classes of maestros Andrea Manco and Maurizio Valentini. For this occasion, she composed original repertoire for flutes and conducted the premiere of the performance Pansophia for flute ensemble, which was performed on July 7 during the Imola Summer Festival.
She started playing flute at the age of thirteen in the south of Italy and specialized with Kersten
McCall, Michele Marasco, Paolo Taballione, Andrea Oliva, Peter Lukas Graf, among the others.
While she pursued her orchestral and soloist career (Principal flute ONCI 2016/2018, finalist
EUYO 2018, soloist of the Accademia di Santa Cecilia 2017, Master cum laude in classical flute),
she deepened her passion for theatre performance and composition during her Interdisciplinary
Master at Conservatory of Amsterdam.
